Our Story

Michael and I met many years ago when we were both awkward teenagers. I was an amazing co-pilot for my friend Cathy who had a major crush on this man who owned an Ice Cream shoppe. Well we would go and get ice cream ALOT and became friends with one of the workers. That cute little worker was my future husband, but I had no idea! At the time we were way too young to realize anything but I sure did like to flirt, and believe me I laid it on thick! He did not bite at my flirting advances but we did manage to stay friends. We stopped hanging out that summer but would talk every so often and catch up. We both stayed friends with Cathy and would find out all the gossip through her. She knew everything about both of us and we would always ask about each other. Well low and behold 10 years later we were both single at the same time and Michael asked Cathy how I was doing and she told him to give me a call. He listened and called me on a Thursday, we went out on a Sunday night and have been together everyday since then. I knew from the minute we got together that I was going to marry him, but he took just a tad longer, but being the creepy girl that I am, I let him know that I knew he was going to marry me. Looking back at it, he should have ran as fast as he could!!! I do not suggest anyone telling a guy they are going to marry them within the first 2 weeks of being together, that is a little too creepy, but thankfully that is what he loves about me! (thank God!)
It was a long road for us getting together but when we finally did it was happily ever after!

Our Wedding

I am going to change this section to OUR PROPOSAL!

Anyone who has met me knows that I have mentioned getting engaged for quite some time now, but in true Michael fashion, he made me wait until the right time when I was not expecting it. I had gone out the night before to a Bachelorette party for my girlfriend at work and had a little bit too much to drink! So when Michael came home from work at around 2:30 in the afternoon, I was just rolling out of bed! He mentioned some BS story about his boss being off that night and he was going to go into work late so we could go out to dinner. He jumped in the shower and typical of me, I followed him in there talking about everything and anything. If anyone has ever met me, they know I like to talk and that I love to follow Michael around and tell him every minute detail of everything that has happened to me or to someone I know. So of course I had some stimulating story to tell him about the night before and he was completely acting normal. Once he got out of the shower I proceeded to follow him around the house and tell him stuff. He told me he had to get something out of the car that he forgot and for me to get into the shower. I was stalling around and did not get in the shower (if I had only known I was getting engaged, I would have showered and I DEFINITELY would have brushed my teeth!).
So now I am going to jump back in time for a second. For a while throughout our relationship we had this little thing that we would always do. He would always ask "Will Ya?" and I would always respond with "Will I what?" then he would say either "Will ya marry me one day?" or "Will ya be Mrs. Timpani one day?" and it was just something corny that we always said to one another. Now back to that amazing Friday afternoon. He came back in the house and said he had a present for me. So he handed me this little cardboard box, and inside of it was a stone box with the word Love on it. Around the word Love it had the famous saying with, "Love is blind, Love is patient, Love is not rude........" So he told me to read it, and I was saying "I'm not patient, I'm rude...." So finally he just said "Open the box!" and when I did there was a little folded up piece of paper inside. At this point I started shaking and knew what was happening. So when I unfolded the note, it was in the shape of a heart and he wrote "Will Ya?" on the inside. So I turned around and he was on one knee and asked me "Will You Marry Me?" and of course I crumbled on top of him, crying and shaking and repeating over and over "For Real?, For Real?........." After about 15 minutes I got off of him and then at that point asked him "Did I ever say yes?" and realized I didn't since I was so excited. So I did tell him yes at that moment and then just stared at my ring for about another 45 minutes. He had to force me in the shower and then I proceeded to stare at my ring in the shower for another 30 minutes, so needless to say it took me a very long time to get ready that evening but it was the happiest day of my life!
