I'll never forget the night Mike proposed to me. I had literally just returned from my deployment to Doha, Qatar (Sept 3, 2004 - Jan 10, 2005). We were in my dorm room on base (We were both in the United States Air Force). I had forgotten something in his car, so I ran downstairs to retrieve it. When I came back up, I walked in the door and there he was down on one knee. He asked "Will you marry me?" It caught me completely by surprise. That was on January 11, 2005. We went in front of a judge on Jan 14, 2005 and got married. No one knew that we got married, heck Im not sure how many people knew we were engaged. So it came as a complete shocker to my co-workers when I went into work the following day (we got married on a Friday) and I was wearing a different name tag and a diamond ring on my wedding finger!

In this picture, I am with a good friend -- Angie McLeod. We were in Bootcamp togther, she was my roommate in tech school and we ended up working on the same base together and oh look at that, we got deployed together! haha
